CHOC Specialists is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician or a fellowship trained Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Neurologist or Pediatrician. This is an exciting opportunity to aid in the growth and development of the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center at CHOC.
The Center is a collaborative effort of UC Irvine School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Since its opening in 2001, the Center has been a leader in medical assessment, diagnosis, care coordination, family support and education for children with autism and other developmental disorders focusing on families in the CHOC network from birth through age 22 years. With a recent increase in funding, the Center will expand to offer a multidisciplinary team of specialists for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment serving children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age 22 years across Southern California. Our Center provides longitudinal collaborative and comprehensive care for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities and frequently associated co-occurring disorders in sleep, gastroenterology, epilepsy, neurobehavioral and psychiatric conditions.
Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license and DEA registration. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who has a strong commitment to patient care, education, research and community engagement. The faculty member will provide direct patient care, be involved in teaching and community outreach, and be encouraged to participate in clinical research. Candidates with a track record in clinical research and grant funding may be eligible for protected and funded research time.
