Network Security Engineer

• Manage technical projects including involvement from local and global application, infrastructure, governance, and client teams
  
• Serve as a lead for coordination with IT globally on all technical topics, including strategic infrastructure/toolkit initiatives.
  
• Manage Relationship with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
  
• Propose and validate design proposals for new solutions and coordinate technical reviews of existing systems.
  
• Manage out of business hours network oncall support and change management
  
• Manage Level 3 Operations Incidents and Problems
  
• Give direction to Support teams and ensure close relationship and knowledge sharing with team-members
  
• Ensure strong collaboration with other skill teams (Market Data, Middleware, Windows, Unix..)
  
• Deliver proper documentation related to projects delivery or day-to-day activity
  
• Contribute to network reliability and administration continuous improvement plan
  
• Work in team-oriented environment, providing technical expertise and guidance to various groups within IT on broad range of technical topics

• Work closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
  
• Validate design proposals for new solutions and coordinate technical reviews of existing systems.
  
• This person will be technical/engineer, hands on person who can perform Network Security changes, make recommendations for improving security and implement those recommendations.

• Significant firewall experience with Juniper and Check Point firewalls.
  
• At least 5 years of experience configuring and maintaining firewalls.
  
• Experience in VPN/IPSEC, IDS and DNS.
  
• Web Proxy engineering and deployment experience with BlueCoat platforms.
  
• Expertise in operating systems such as Unix/Linux
  
• Strong networking knowledge is mandatory. Knowledge of network protocols is a must.
  
• Knowledge of F5 load balancers
  
• Knowledge in Citrix NetScaler
  

Desired / Plus:

• Expertise in state of the art data network technologies.
  
• Broad experience in various industry standard and Cisco data networking protocols
  
• Routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  
• Multicast (PIM, IGMP)
  
• MPLS (LDP, VPN/VRF)
  
• Switching (STP, VPC)
  
• L2DCI (OTV)
  
• Full working knowledge of Cisco switches/routers
  
• Nexus 7k/5k/2k/3k
  
• Catalyst 6k/4k
  
• ASR/ISR
  

• Perl / Shell scripting experience are a plus.
  

Experience Needed:

• 10+ years with the required technical experience listed above.
  
• Technical lead for system initiatives within large scale international organization.
  
• Conducting/participating in product evaluations and performance testing.
  
• Experience in investment banking environment.
  

Educational Requirements:

• Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
  

Desired / Plus:

• CISSP is desired
  
• Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE or Juniper JNCIS-FWV certifications desired
