Job description

Network Operations Center Engineer Key Role: Monitor network administration and maintenance operations. Resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth-running of the network operation center. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge.

Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications: Experience with managing service requests using a ticketing system Experience with network management tools Experience with configuring ACL rules for use with Palo Alto firewalls Ability to configure a Cisco router, switch, and firewall via command line interface Ability to work 2nd shift: 9pm-7am ET Ability to obtain a security clearance HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience in IT and networking or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of experience in IT and networking Ability to obtain a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification within 6 months of hire Additional Qualifications: Experience with setting up Site-to-Site VPNs utilizing Cisco Firewalls or Cisco Routers Experience with Cisco ASDM or NetScaler Experience with Cisco Any Connect VPN and other remote access solution Experience with Citrix Access Gateway (ISE), SolarWinds, or nGenius Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS environments Ability to perform packet capture and analysis using Palo Alto firewalls Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD).

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
