Network Installation Technician I and II - Voice, Video, and Data Networks

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Enterprise Voice and Data Network Installation Technicians to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of complex voice, video, and data networks for enterprise clients. You will work independently and with a team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure a variety of voice, video, and data network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cabling.
  • Test and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Perform site surveys and assessments to determine equipment needs and installation feasibility.
  • Configure and test network security settings.
  • Document network configurations and troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all installation and configuration activities.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest voice and data networking technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Network Technician or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA A+,Network+, or other certifications or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience with Cisco and/or other major network equipment vendors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
