The successful candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about well-architected IT Infrastructure, specifically for both Enterprise & Product Network Engineering. Appreciates how technology platforms can drive scale and agility within high-tech production environments. Strong problem solver and well-versed in Infrastructure design, automation, standardization, and documentation. The role occasionally requires interfacing with all engineering functions, such as Systems & Safety Engineering, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Test, and Certification). In this role, the candidate must also be proactive, forward-thinking, and self-motivated, with the ability to translate requirements into a functional technical solution to address the needs of the business.
What you will do:
- As part of the IT organization and deployed in an IT Infrastructure, you will act as a Network Infrastructure Engineering intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- You will take part in Infrastructure solution design sessions, deployment, & Operations to support engineering operations.
- You will support Enterprise applications, engineering, and manufacturing functions and provide Remote & physical connectivity solutions.
- You will help support problem-solving activities for infrastructure automation, operations, and scale.
- You will help coordinate requirements gathering and synthesize solutions to address the problems at hand regarding center networks, Remote connectivity, Office Networks, and Traffic Engineering & Network Security.
- You will take part in problem definition, design activities, and operations maintenance activities.
- In some areas, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams, business units, and senior engineers within your Team to drive towards expected solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
- Familiar with Network Engineering on platforms & technologies, including Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, BigIP, WiFi Networks, and SDWAN.
- Experience with Enterprise Wifi & Remote VPN technologies at scale
- Understand Network Security Operations, Monitoring & Observability solutions.
- Comfortable with the Linux command line
Hourly rate will be $20 USD an hour.
This internship role will be based at Wisk's headquarters in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college
Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required
Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
