As a Network Engineer on our team, you will: Provide escalated technical support to resolve complex issues, while affording guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel
Requirements
- The shift for this position is Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE or higher)
- 5 years of network engineering or network administration experience, including 1 year of management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Hands-on experience with the Network Administration
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining network devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks as part of Network Team
- Work with Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians and cable's team to resolve customer impacting network outages, network changes and activation
- Monitor, assign, and work Remedy tickets ensuring they are resolved within the established Service Level Agreement
- Analyzes network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements
- Monitor network connectivity
- Create Standard Operations Procedures and Shift Reports
- Maintain team schedule
- Handle all escalations
- May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact
- Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
