Key Roles/Duties:
- Provide communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C5ISR challenges facing the Armys current and future forces
- Provide analysis, assessments, and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T Global Warfighter C5ISR support plan
- Serve as an expert/SME/Leader to lower-grade personnel with regard to next generation technology insertion strategies, integration planning of future C5ISR capabilities, and provide technical guidance to meet requirements
- Review, assist and mentor lower-grade employees work for quality, accuracy of work
- Assure non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts
- Support the Government by performing tradeoff studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implement and test such methodologies and devices
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, verbal, and communications skills
- Effective organization skills for content management and collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business (or a related scientific or technical discipline)
- 5+ years of related experience with tactical radio communications systems to include, but not limited to:
- SINCGARS Radio Set to include: legacy ASIP Radio Sets, AN/PRC(V)2 and (V)4s, AN/PRC-152s
- High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets to include: AN/PRC-150 and AN/PRC-160
- Legacy SATCOM Radios such as: AN/PSC-5C and the AN/PRC-117F/G
- Software defined radios such as: AN/PRC-154A/C, AN/PRC-155, AN/PRC-148C, AN/PRC-163, AN/PRC-158, and AN/PRC-162
- PSC-5C - PRC-117 - 148 - 150 - 152 - 154 - 155 - 158 - 160 - 162 - 163
- Tactical Networking Radios such as: AN/PRC-166, AN/PRC-168
- 4+ relevant years of experience working with the planning of tactical communications waveforms such as SINCGARS, Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW), and Tactical Scalable Mannet (TSM), and networking planning software such as the Harris CPA, JENM, ACES, RAP-TR, Black Sails, and ATOM
- Have technical expertise in the areas of communications Network Engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support
- Masters degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business (or a related scientific or technical discipline)
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C5ISR systems in an O/CONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions
- Up to 25% travel is required
