About Our Opportunity
As a Network Engineer on our IT team, you will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You’ll ensure network stability, security, and optimal performance across our platforms and technologies. You'll work closely with IT leaders and vendors to enhance our network systems and provide top-notch support to our users.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Assist in network design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide comprehensive network support, addressing issues related to Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, Subnets, TCP and UDP ports.
- Develop, execute, and oversee disaster recovery plans and procedures for Valenz IT Networks to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain network appliances, hardware, software, services, and configurations to support organizational needs.
- Recommend, test, and deploy system and security upgrades to enhance network integrity and performance.
- Monitor network activity and performance consistently to preemptively identify and resolve issues.
- Manage and adjust network user settings and permissions to ensure secure and efficient access.
- Produce detailed technical support documentation for network systems and applications.
- Work collaboratively with IT leadership and external vendors and service providers to drive network improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align network infrastructure with organizational objectives.

Requirements:What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering managing complex network environments, delivering substantial network improvements, operations, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of industry leading Networking technologies – Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, Sonicwall, Sophos, etc.
- Experience with Azure and AWS networking.
- Understanding of LDAP/Active Directory.
- Experience with leading Network management and monitoring tools.
- Strong communication skills for training and assisting users.
A plus if you have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or related.
