Network Automation Developer (Ashburn, Va)

Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of Full Stack Software Development experience Must be Proficient in: Python Ansible Good CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment experience): Jira Jenkins Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge (Route/Switch) Functional understanding of the theory of operation of a telecommunications network. Knowledge of the Layer 1-3, routing and switching, etc Understands at a high level how transport networks work Functional understanding of network protocols IP, IPv6, TCP, UDP, ARP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, HTTP and IPsec. Examples of relevant experience CCNA or CCNP certifications Worked in software development for an OEM (Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco, Ciena, F5 Networks, Juniper) Worked in a network lab testing environment 4 Year Degree Nice to Have Skills: Prior Scrum Master experience: Managing and deploying Sprints Proficient in the Agile methodology Specific Testing Technology Experience Needed: Robot Framework Test Automation Development Background: Ability to Design, Build, Test and deploy end to end automation testing solutions for complex applications Building testing architecture and Automation scripting Test Architecture experience Daily Responsibilities: Two Full Stack developers that will support with network functional automation development for OEM platforms that support our strategic Transport Networks.

Will be working on: Resources will using Python and ROBOT Framework, develop new functions for Transport Networks test case scenarios. Integrate Functional scenarios and keywords developed using Python with Jenkins Orchestration engine for single click process automation solution. Integrate execution results update to Jira for individual test case.

Develop configuration automation using Ansible. Using Microservices architecture, develop API's to retrieve package from Artifactory, deploy package to network element, using Python and ROBOT framework, automate Method of Procedure to upgrade network devices in Lab. Interact with OEM network platform Subject Matter Experts, Business Architects, Operations teams, Project Managers, and vendors to implement software solutions for complex testing and certification requirements.
