Overview
The Network & Data Security Architect is responsible for developing end-to-end Security Architecture solutions and guiding the design, building, testing, and implementation of large and complex security solutions. Looking for a Data & Network Security Architect with focus and experience in cloud architecture, digital signatures, encryption, data and network security standards, and systems security integration. The Data & Network Security Architect's responsibilities include reviewing current security infrastructure architecture solutions, guide multi-domain security integration, develop security guidance to improve security measures, communicate recommendations to enhancements security.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies customer requirements mapped to Microsoft technology to be integrated into the solution to maximize usage. Identifies and offers recommendations to address blockers/gaps between the current capabilities and the needs/asks from the customers and partners. Coordinates across relevant teams (e.g., product team) provide feedback on the quality of the product and to resolve accelerated deployment planning. Help prepare a solution blueprint that transforms customer needs into functional specifications suitable for deployment.
  • Supports Merger & Acquisition Security Architecture integration within the Microsoft environment and is focused on addressing security challenges in integrating data and network frameworks and protocols across multiple domains and multiple clouds.
  • Leads planning, researching, and designing of large and complex Network and Data Security Architectures for systems integration with special emphasis on Data Security, systems, and network security and developing, reviewing, and evaluating security requirements for data protection, data integration, data encryption, and Data classification.
  • Demonstrable working experience or expert knowledge in public key infrastructures, certification authorities, and digital signatures and is at ease in documenting existing baseline and future Security Architecture for certificate-based security.
  • Help customers deploy features and/or services launched by engineering team by aligning deployment modules with the customers and validate the success of the deployment. May review multiple test strategies (e.g., unit, functional, performance testing) for the product and identify and mitigate risks prior to product launch.
  • Monitors internal data quality dashboards to determine customers and partners use health post-launch. Implements and helps develop a plan to bring customers to an appropriate customer health level by following standard practices and processes. Interacts with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the product and thinks of ways to evangelize the product. Tracks and updates internal tooling to track customer health progression and usage consumption.
  • Collects and encourages customer and partner feedback through various tools and identifies ways to improve deployments and products. Utilizes and enhances dashboards and reports and communicates insights into reasons for customer blockages to senior team members and leaders. Provides feedback to process owners on identifying process improvements and enhancements.
  • Manage customer success to prevent customer escalations. Identifies the patterns of escalations and feeds it back to the team and managers for improvement. Utilizes resources to resolve escalations or escalates them to senior members or leaders within the team or appropriate teams. Conducts complex solution reviews to ensure it meets customers' needs.
  • Supports field team with customer issues and prioritizes and flags for the product/engineering team. May determine core functionality and clarity of customer requirements and may write functional specs for engineering teams. Identifies constant issues across customers and develops a feedback story for the product/engineering team. May create and present the customer plan to the internal teams to drive usage.
  • Engages in partner enablement activities (e.g., workshops, sale interviews) to help customers learn about the product, proper usage of the products and update them on new product features and functionalities. Help customers and partners to follow best practices and industry standards.
  • Supports development of best practices for Security Architecture and may work on updating resources and producing developmental tools to enable successful use of the Network and Data Security products by customers.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field AND 4+ years' experience in technical program/product management, coding, software development/delivery work.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Identity Access Management (IAM) security engineering solutions.

Other requirements:
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field AND 8+ years' experience in technical program/product management, coding, software development/delivery work or internship experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience.
  • Experience in incident response, Cybersecurity or threat analysis.
  • Experience in Digital Signatures, Quantum Encryption and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions.
  • Experience in threat intelligence and network security.
  • 3+ years of senior leadership experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional
    (CISSP).
  • CompTIA and Network+

Customer Solutions Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
