What We're Looking For: Must have
✔️Minimum (2) years of industry experience to bring your expertise to the table
✔️ Pass a thorough security background investigation - an integral part of ensuring the integrity of our work
✔️ U.S. citizenship is a non-negotiable requirement due to the nature of our operations
✔️ Experience working on Military systems, ensuring familiarity and understanding of their unique demands
✔️ Minimum certifications in A+ and Security+ are essential; ITIL certification is a definite plus
✔️ Research and be familiar with critical systems like the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Windows Private Desktop System (VDI), and My Learning Career Development Course (CDC) Assessment System will be advantageous
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between Network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and Computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.
- Performs Communications-Computer Systems (C-CS) planning and implementation activities. Provides support to communications systems' current and future planning activities. Supports implementation of C-CS projects and ensures C-CS architecture, configuration, and integration conformity. Provides analytical, advisory, technical, functional, and management oversight to network upgrades and maintenance regarding critical communications systems for the FSDE. The duties and responsibilities are not limited to:
- Provide hardware and software system administration on all FSDE computers, printers, network hardware, and other peripherals critical to properly functioning FSDE Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Provide site-specific installation, configuration, and instruction documentation of FSDE IT systems.
- Establish procedures for safeguarding all critical data, and design back-up methodology to guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Maintain (backup, integrity check, etc.) data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity. This includes but is not limited to planning, installing, operating, backing up, data recovery, and maintaining a variety of operating systems such as, but not limited to, various Microsoft ® products and the configuration, administration, OS hardening, system maintenance, and troubleshooting; as well as identifying, installing, and maintaining system hardware.
- Implement any new systems (software/hardware) as required; set-up new computers and other information systems in a timely manner to support gradual FSDE IT improvement. This may require contractor to remove/assemble furniture.
- Maintain existing systems and environments in accordance with (IAW) Industry best practice and sustain applications, databases, and interfaces in compliance with applicable AF & Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
- Assist in research and purchase of all information systems and components required to improve existing structure.
- Provide recommendations for future planning and improvements to the existing information systems structure for the facilities.
