Netops Specialist (Watch Officer)

Description:

Skiltrek is seeking a NetOps Specialist Mid to support a government customer on site in New Orleans, La. This position will sit within the NOSC R which serves as a Watch Office for the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Reserve Sites across the country. This is a monitoring position and will consist of tracking outages, resolution, and solutioning with site technician for Layer 1 Connectivity Projects and Problem.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the infrastructure and network, responding appropriately to alerts and events.
• Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.
• Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.
• Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.
• Provide data center support where appropriate.
• Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
• Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance (Must be able to obtain at least a DoD Interim Secret Clearance before walking onsite)
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• 5-8 years of IT experience (NOC, networking, Watch Office, NOSC preferred)
