.Net Developer

WHAT WE NEED:

We are hiring a .NET Developer to our team.  This is a hybrid position that will require regular onsite work at our IT office in Muscatine, IA.

The .NET Developer will providing ongoing enhancement and support to the web applications, servers and databases that support HNI’s supply-chain and manufacturing functions within Oracle EBS.  *Important* the .NET Developer will also cross-train on Progress OpenEdge, a fourth-generation programming language, to develop applications and manage HNI’s relational databases. Training will be provided.

THIS ROLE INVOLVES:

• Writing clean, well-structured, and scalable code using C# and other .NET languages.
• Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, implementation, and maintenance.
• Participating in the design and development of web applications using the .NET framework.
• Integrating APIs and web services to enhance application functionality.
• Documenting technical specifications and project details.
• Conducting testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of applications.
• Assisting in the optimization of applications for scalability and performance.
• Contributing to code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Developing reusable packages and options parameters with scaffolding.
• Using version controller tools like GitHub (GIT), TFS, etc.
• Ensuring code quality by utilizing testing frameworks like Jasmine and/or Karma and xUnit.
• Staying up to date with the latest .NET technologies and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A 4-year bachelor’s degree in computer science, a 2-year associate’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing in C# and other .NET languages.
• 4+ years of experience with .NET Framework 4+ and/or experience with .NET Core.
• Willingness to learn Progress OpenEdge.

SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of Web Services concepts and experience with WCF or Web API
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like NUnit
• Proficiency in RESTful API Design
• Proficiency with Git
• Proficiency in SQL Server, creating queries, views and stored procs
• Advanced ability to troubleshooting technical issues via phone and in-person.
