🌙 Shift: Full-time Nights (rotating weekends) - 7 pm to 7 am

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN), you'll play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to patients and their families in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Your responsibilities include:

• 🌟 Assessing, planning, and implementing care and interventions for neonates
• 🌟 Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs
• 🌟 Assisting physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• 🌟 Serving as the primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care
• 🌟 Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition using computerized documentation systems
• 🌟 Instructing and educating patients and families
• 🌟 Coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• 🌟 Providing age and culturally appropriate care
• 🌟 Maintaining a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at-risk infants
• 🌟 Orienting and mentoring new staff members
• 🌟 Following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Qualifications:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • 🎓 TX RN license or RN Compact State License
  • 💊 Current certification as a BLS and NRP Healthcare Provider
• Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; must enroll within 6 months of hire in a BSN program and obtain BSN within 36 months (Tuition Free ADN to BSN program available)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RECENT experience in a Level III NICU Acute Care Hospital Setting, including experience with 23 Weekers

💪 Compensation: Starting from $34/hr (1 year of experience) up to $54/hr (20 years of experience). Plus, shift differentials.
