NEMT Driver

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, buses, or trucks, depending on the specific role
- Transport passengers or goods to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure a safe driving experience for all passengers and pedestrians
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, securing belongings, and answering any questions or concerns
- Adhere to assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and departures
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any issues
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts as required
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols and emergency situations

Skills:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in paratransit, bus driving, school bus driving, or commercial driving is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to ensure efficient route planning
- Strong time management skills to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines
- Physical ability for heavy lifting or loading/unloading of goods, if applicable to the role
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
