Acadian Ambulance is seeking qualified candidates to recruit students into NEMSA classes. The NEMSA recruiter will work with management, field staff, and the recruiters to implement outreach initiatives to promote the EMS profession and the National EMS Academy.
Responsibilities:
- Source and recruit quality candidates for upcoming NEMSA classes
- Provide realistic job preview to potential applicants, including specific job and company information, compensation, & benefits, working conditions, and expectations.
- Attend job fairs, trade shows, and conferences to source leads
- Assist with coordinating various recruitment activities
- Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiting team to identify talent needs and build candidate pipelines to fill current and anticipated vacancies
- Work closely with regional recruiters to introduce and transition candidates to local recruitment efforts
- Adhere to an established hiring process in compliance with applicable laws
- Maintain daily and weekly reports of contacts, interviews, and job offers
Requirements:
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills
- Recruiting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms
- Detail-oriented with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to travel (70% travel requirement)
- Willingness to work extra time as required by the demands of the job
- Sales and/or secondary education experience preferred
- EMT/AEMT/Paramedic Certification
