Job Description

The Negotiator role will report into the Supervisor position and will be a part of the Advanced TV practice (CTV/OTT and Linear Addressable). This team works collectively to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of and a pulse on the media landscape, make smart investments with media partners, negotiating mutually favorable terms, and plan and execute client media buys that best deliver on their business and marketing objectives. 

On top of invaluable experience in the fast-growing and ever-evolving Advanced TV landscape, this role offers the chance to work across a variety of agencies and client brands/verticals, and the opportunity to collaborate with different teams of experts across Publicis Media.

About The Role

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual to join our team and manage a growing business. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Expectations for this role fall into 3 key categories:

1. Developing Teams & Talent

  • Understand roles and responsibilities within the team.
  • Contribute to training of Sr Associates/Associates on their team and billing/reconciliation team individuals.
  • Reviews and supports goals of Sr./Associates.

2. Delivering on Our Value Proposition

  • Participate in meetings with partners to understand portfolio offerings and identify opportunities for client investment.
  • Collaborate with agencies’ strategy, investment, data + analytics teams to review and understand client briefings
  • Strategically plan campaigns to align with client expectations
  • Develop campaign proposals that effectively outline campaign details and present to client teams

3. Managing Business & Operations

  • Can execute process with some oversight and high degree of accuracy.
  • Participate in discrepancy resolution for assigned clients and campaigns.
  • Establish expectations through clear communication with client and vendor.
  • Contribute to data input across various tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, OX/Prisma, Salesforce, etc.
  • Keeps Salesforce up to date for assigned accounts.
Qualifications

Technical Skill Requirements

We value diversity of thought and experiences at APEX! If you learned about media from the sales or agency side, that’s great but we do need folks with basic level of understanding of how media investment works.

  • 2-5 years of experience with Basic knowledge of media is critical for success in this role
  • Diverse backgrounds and experience are welcome including Agency Planning/Investment, Media Sales, Consulting and/or Media Client Side
  • Experience with Advanced TV, including CTV/OTT and/or Addressable TV, with knowledge of the landscape and confidence in activating and managing campaigns
    • Example Advanced TV platforms include Ampersand, Dish, DirecTV, LG, Vizio, Samsung, Roku, NBCU AdSmart, Disney, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office Suite (must be proficient in Excel)
  • Strong media financial acumen is mandatory
  • Business financial acumen is preferred
  • Basic understanding of the media landscape
