JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines. Operator is responsible for sampling, testing, dispositioning, final release and transfer of needles to shipping. Some troubleshooting and maintenance of test equipment is required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

ECNT OPERATION

·        Set up, operate and trouble shoot ECNT equipment.

·        Set up, operate and trouble shoot ECNT robotic equipment.

·        Pull samples and perform penetration testing on all needle types.

·        Review and interpret process graphs.

·        Key in data and perform CIM transaction.

·        Train associates to perform ECNT testing.

·        Perform Attribute testing on PS, Cardio, and General Line Needles.

ECNT Operation (Attribute Testing ONLY)

·        Train associates to perform E2-Attribute Testing

·        Perform E2-Attribute Testing on PS, Cardio, and General Line Needles

NEEDLES SCREENING OPERATION

·        Screen defective needles out with or without magnification.

·        Screen 6 and 8 mil with an aid of a microscope.

·        Sort and prepare supplies for boxing operation.

·        Train associates to scan/screen needles.

·        Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

·        For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.

·        Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

·        Performs other duties assigned as needed.

OTHER

·        Operates production equipment to produce subassemblies or finished products.

·        Interprets instructions and specifications and uses to set up equipment.

·        Checks products on assembly line to confirm that they are properly assembled and removes defective products.

·        Cleans and maintains equipment as needed. Notifies supervisor of maintenance and/or repairs needed on equipment.

·        Prepares accurate records/documentation related to quality and work in progress.

·        Troubleshoots minor production problems.

·        Comply with all federally regulated programs.

·        Adhere to J&J environmental and safety policies and guidelines.

·        Comply with all job specific safety procedures and utilize PPE when necessary.

·        Comply with quality system requirements as defined within procedures and instructions.

·        Use test equipment (Starrett Gauge, Mitutoyo Gauge, Microscope, etc.) where applicable.

·        Utilize applicable software systems as needed for the job (e.g. ComplianceWire, ADAPTIV, etc.)

·        Consistently meet required work performance targets (RE’s), if applicable.

·        Support LEAN and Six Sigma Initiatives.

·        Support Maintenance Excellence (ME2), including 6S and Operator Asset Care.

·        Accurately complete records as defined within the job procedures (e.g. manual and/or electronic documentation).

·        Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

·        Consistently meet required Training due date targets.

·        Support Plant Diversity Process.

·        Ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

·        High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training.

·        Generally, Requires 2-4 Years Work Experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

·        Computer knowledge is required: Associate must be able to perform all functions of the job by using CIM, and Ethicon computer systems.

·        Excellent communications and interpersonal relation skills.

·        Problem solving skills.

·        Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
