Role Purpose & Contribution: As the NDT/NDE Level III Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the NDT program at our Tacoma site, aligning with Bradken's objectives. Your responsibilities will include building quality capability across management and employee teams, fostering internal and external relationships, and ensuring ongoing compliance to customer specifications and procedures.
Responsibilities that Drive Success:
• Establish goals and conduct performance evaluations for our dedicated quality personnel.
• Develop and maintain quality control standards, ensuring our talented staff is always in compliance.
• Take proactive corrective action to eliminate potential quality losses.
• Collaborate seamlessly with engineering and production control for efficient workflow.
• Lead and actively participate in audits, overseeing NDT operations in various disciplines.
• Maintain test examiner status for SNT, NAVSEA 250-1500-1, and MILSTD-2132.
• Oversee radiation safety program to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
• Maintain existing and qualify new NDT inspectors to meet required standards for Bradken's NDT program and customer expectations.
• Establish operational work plans for the area, strategically allocating resources.
• Recommend resource requirements to meet work plans and objectives.
• Continuously embed and improve systems and processes for reliable, cost-efficient servicing.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in metallurgy, engineering, or relevant science preferred.
• ASNT Level III in LPE, MPE, RE, UT, and Visual.
• Navsea 250-1500-1 Examiner for RE, LPE, and Visual.
• MIL-STD-2132 Examiner for PT, LPE, and Radiography.
• Strong communication skills, ability to interpret codes, specifications, and drawings.
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
