Education / Training
• 3-5 years Quality experience;
• NDT Certified in Magnetic Particle;
• Limited Level II in Magnetic Particle.
Key Job Elements
• Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures;
• Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as leak, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and visual testing;
• Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials;
• Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results;
• Identify defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing techniques;
• Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant, and applying developer;
• Document non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, processes, or results.
Physical Demands/Work Requirements:
• May be required to work in the shop and/or move up to 35 pounds;
• May be working near moving mechanical parts, overhead cranes and lift truck traffic;
• May be required to wear hearing protection in designated areas;
• Requires metatarsal safety shoes and approved safety glasses.
First shift position supporting east machining.
Qualifications and Experience
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily;
• Knowledge of NDT processes and procedures;
• UT, MT and PT certified.
