Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the project manager, the NDT professional will be performing Non-destructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions.
- Technicians are qualified to set up, calibrate, and maintain equipment.
- Must be able to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used.
- Assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of junior technicians. Organize and report results.
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment
- Travel as necessary
- Conduct tests to ensure the quality and detect defects using NDT methods of inspection
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to established standards
- Organize and accurately report test results
- Perform specialized inspections as needed
- May instruct and supervise trainees
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned
- Interface daily with the client
- Actively participate in programs, planning, and strategy sessions
- Work closely with the client to identify and address issues
- Maintain safety, security, and compliance with all governing standards at all times
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to pass a near vision and color contrast eye examination
- Have the ability to pass a general, specific, and practical exam in each NDT method
- Documented experience and training hours in each level of certification held
- Ability to speak, write, and understand the English Language
- NDT Certification of any level
- VT, MT, PT, UT, RT, ET, HT, and PMI Certifications are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to correctly perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret and report inspection results
- Capable of performing Radiography & Computed Radiography
