Naval Support Mechanical Technician

Naval Support Mechanical Technician Key Role: Assemble or fabricate electrical, electronic, or mechanical marine components or equipment. Operate mechanical machinery, calibration equipment, power tools and electronic tooling. Acquire knowledge of program or project requirements, policies, and procedures.

Work on semi-routine tasks and assignments, requiring limited judgment. Follow established processes. Basic Qualifications: Experience with maintenance with mechanical assembly and fabrication of marine system and subsystem components, integration of mechanical components, and hardware assemblies Knowledge of common hand tools and special test equipment, including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and tooling used for testing mechanical equipment or assemblies Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings to determine the mechanical fabrication requirements, including the method and sequence of a part or piece of a mechanical assembly and layout of mechanical assemblies Ability to test and verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments, test the performance of mechanical assemblies, using test instruments, and record test results to ensure that specifications are met Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of maintenance concepts of boat engines and boat trailers, including corrosion control methodologies Knowledge of clean air systems Knowledge of routine maintenance practices associated with boats and boat motors Ability to work independently and coordinate tasking with client engineers Ability to operate forklifts Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,200.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
