NAU VISTA Project: Climate Vulnerability & Resilience VISTA

Member Duties : -Research and compile best practices on community vulnerability, risk, and resilience data -Collect and interpret data on community social and climate change vulnerabilities, risk, and resilience -Identify and analyze data on vulnerability, risk, and resiliency -Create public-facing community maps and other data visualization products showing the spatial distribution of community vulnerability, risk, and resilience -Build volunteer and volunteer support-capacity, to increase neighborhood volunteering and leadership that increases resilience and reduces poverty -Develop a group of neighborhood resilience volunteers, to build up neighborhood strength and support residents living in poverty -Research best practices and programs on creating neighborhood resilience -Review and provide feedback on the potential implementation of new programs, such as resilience hubs -Train volunteer neighborhood leaders to build neighborhood capacity and resilience to climate change impacts   Program Benefits : Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  Stipend ,  Relocation Allowance ,  Childcare assistance if eligible ,  Training ,  Living Allowance ,  Health Coverage* ,  $100 monthly grocery card, rent stipend .      *For details about AmeriCorps VISTA healthcare benefits, please visit http://www.vistacampus.gov/healthcare   Terms :
