Native Mobile Developer

Job Overview:

The Native Mobile Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining both Android and iOS native applications. Working closely with our Data Science and Product teams, you will ensure exceptional user experiences across multiple platforms.

Location: Hybrid (Must reside in Los Angeles, California)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Android and iOS mobile applications using native technologies (Kotlin/Java for Android, Swift for iOS).
  • Collaborate with the Cloud team to design and implement scalable, secure, and performant mobile application architectures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within our mobile applications.
  • Optimize user experiences, ensuring seamless integration between our mobile apps and cloud services.
  • Implement robust security measures for mobile applications in collaboration with the Security team.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other developers, QA engineers, and project managers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience developing native Android and iOS applications with Compose and SwiftUI.
  • Comprehensive grasp of the Android and iOS application development lifecycles.
  • Solid CS background with innate ability to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly and independently.
  • Take pride in your craftsmanship. Have exceptional problem-solving abilities and be self-driven.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with diverse teams.
  • A track record of successfully managing the entire app development lifecycle, from ideation and design through to deployment on app stores.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GraphQL API and integration with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Familiarity with design patterns and architecture principles for mobile applications.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining testable codebases using Git.
  • 4. Proficiency in debugging and performance testing tools.

Bonus Skills:

  • Proficiency working with Unity3D game engine to develop applications for either platform.
  • Thorough understanding of BLE and the challenges of working with external devices.
  • Experience integrating native libraries.

Annual Salary Range*: $120,000 - $160,000 / year (plus discretionary bonus plan and equity)

*The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the incumbent to reside in Los Angeles, California, with a minimum of 50% on-site work at our Playa del Rey office. The remaining work time can be remote, facilitating a flexible work-life balance.
