Job Summary


The National Field Reimbursement Director is responsible for the execution of the reimbursement strategy with the goal of ensuring optimal access and driving reimbursement confidence. This role is responsible for leading and managing the activities of Field Reimbursement Managers. The National Field Reimbursement Director will be responsible for leading the team towards the achievement of established client goals, meeting metrics/service level requirements, and ensuring all goals are met compliantly and in a fiscally responsible manner. The National Field Reimbursement Director will participate in select client, national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as lead meetings with their respective team. Additionally, the Field Reimbursement Director will collaborate with the National Accounts Directors to stay abreast of payer policies.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Hire, motivate and coach the Field Reimbursement team to meet goals and objectives through influencing compliant behavior.
  • Lead the Field Reimbursement team to ensure goals are met to support product access within targeted accounts.
  • Work with Field Reimbursement Managers on a consistent basis, evaluating coaching and pulling through strategic initiatives and supporting tactics.
  • Attract, coach, and retain individuals who will ensure high level performance.
  • Develop plans that effectively translate regional/national strategy that support Market Access initiatives.
  • Work closely with the internal Market Access team to develop and execute initiatives aimed at instilling reimbursement confidence and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Market Access HQ, National Account Directors, Regional Business Directors, Key Account Directors, and Patient Support Services Manager in the development of tactics to support unfettered access to UroGen’s product(s).

List of qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a manager/first line Director with demonstrated Directorship and ability to motivate, coach, lead and execute strategy.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in payer access or pharmaceutical industry in sales or managed care supporting a specialty or biologic product.
  • Rare Disease experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a patient centric Hub.
  • Working knowledge of Field Based Reimbursement, specifically Medicare Part B, or access/patient services.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors, as well as Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems and or Ambulatory Surgical Centers a plus.
  • Previous experience in launching new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced start up environment.
  • Travel requirements: approximately 50% with a national reach.
