Job description

NANA Worley/NANA Shareholder college internships are between 24- 40 hours per week, continue for a minimum 8 weeks and will start no later than June 6th.  Longer duration internships and an earlier start date is possible for the right candidate.

Lodging and transportation for applicants living outside the Anchorage/Matsu valley area and/or the option to telecommute is available.  Please inquire for additional information.

 

Summary

To provide direct support for NANA Worley Procurement department with duties to assist the department with administrative coordination and program procurement tasks. Support NANA Worley and Client systems and processes to meet the needs internally and external vendors as well as clients.  Additional responsibilities may include administrative support as needed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The essential duties for this position include:

HSE Management:

  • Work with Program Procurement Team to ensure that all aspects of the Procurement Program and Projects are setup and executed in full compliance with the requirements of NANA Worley HSE Management system and the client's HSSE requirements and stipulations.
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to continuously improve HSE performance.

Program Procurement  Scope

  • Understands and executes the Program Procurement scope and provides team assistance with developing Material Requisitions and obtaining the required approvals per the plan.
  • Effectively use systems to document Program Procurement  interfaces and deliverables.
  • Assists with input to NANA Worley or Client spreadsheets
  • Assist with report building

Quality

  • Ensures the NANA Worley and client quality system requirements are identified and applied on the program.
  • Drives process improvement through participating in Lessons Learned, Preventive and Corrective Actions meetings.
  • Reviews Material Requisitions and other Program Procurement  correspondence and deliverables for formatting, grammar, and content.

Team

  • Maintains Program Procurement  team roster, Program Procurement  team calendar and organization charts.
  • Aids in the distribution of information necessary.

Communication

  • Assists Procurement Lead to ensure accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Assures communication throughout Program Procurement  team by developing and managing the procurement schedule.
  • Maintain Program Procurement  documentation and aid in the closeout of the project.

Risk

  • Help Program Procurement  team in identification of Program Procurement  risks and opportunities.
  • Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Education/Experience:

       High School Diploma

       2 years' work experience in a project team environment

       Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

       1 year of experience hydrocarbon industry

       2 years of college level classes in Supply Chain Management

       Experience in vendor and contractor coordination

       Experience is working with remote North Slope operations

       Experience working with procurement database (ex. Oracle, SAP, etc.)

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, client or employees of organization. 

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and calculus through differential equations. Understanding of probability and statistics with the ability to apply to risk and consequence evaluations.  

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram or schedule form. 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word processing software; MS Excel spreadsheet software; MS Teams; the MS Office software suite: and related design and analysis software.
