Job Description
Our Livonia Service Center is hiring an MO Operator (Nail Maintenance/Pallet Repair), an essential position in the supply chain. If you have experience in a fast-paced industrial setting, are comfortable using pneumatic nail guns, and a have strong work ethic, this position with CHEP could be a great fit!
- $20/hour starting wage (+$1 differential for 3rd shift)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses a pneumatic nail gun and hammer to repair or replace nails in pallets. Identifies potential nail defects and repairs them. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the tools. Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time. Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs. Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times. May also support our overall Pallet Repair operations as well.
Shift 1 - Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm ($20/hour)
Shift 3 - Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am ($21/hour)
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Operators must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
PREFERRED SKILLS
2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
