Corteva Agriscience is seeking an experienced University Relations & Recruiting Events Leader to support our North American business groups.

Key Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow!

North America University Relations

  • Evolving and executing the established strategic initiatives in place to build and strengthen relationships with universities and academic institutions across the United States.
  • This role plays a crucial part in establishing the process to attract a strong talent pipeline that supports the company's growth objectives while fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
  • Coordinate with other regional TA teams for best practice sharing.

Diversity and Industry Events

  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse pool of entry level talent at organizational events.
  • Plan and coordinate Corteva's presence at events within established budget and across functions and leadership.
  • This role focuses on driving brand awareness and attracting strong candidates for internships and early career roles.

NA Projects and Process Improvement

  • Prioritize project work, assign deliverables and drive projects to conclusion.

UR Strategy
Collaborate with functional HR teams and leadership to advance the comprehensive U.S. and Canada University Relations strategy. Align with the company's business goals and talent needs.

  • Identify key universities, organizations and academic programs that align with the company's industry focus and technological advancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, university partnerships, and talent acquisition practices to continuously enhance the company's approach.

Partnership Building
Determine approach, roles and responsibilities to ensure clarity of internal network that establishes and maintains relationships with university administrators, faculty, career services, and relevant student organizations.

  • Engage in regular communication and networking events to establish the company's presence on campuses and within academic communities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Talent Acquisition, and Marketing, to ensure a cohesive University Relations approach.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Lead team of University Relations Recruiters who work closely with internal hiring teams to understand talent requirements and develop approach for attracting top students and graduates.

  • Plan and execute recruitment events, including career fairs, workshops, information sessions, and on-campus interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates from university partnerships, provide feedback, and contribute to the selection process.
  • Provide Talent Acquisition and recruiting support to various business initiatives ensuring alignment to broader program.

U.S. Internship and Co-op Programming
Lead the team that coordinates the U.S. summer internship and co-op programming to ensure students have a strong onboarding and broad company exposure in their assignment.

  • Lead team to create a differentiated Internship orientation and summer experience.
  • Communicate with hiring managers on expectations and how to develop meaningful projects that align with students' academic pursuits and career aspirations.
  • Lead team to execute summer programming across all functions, including leadership engagements, networking events and professional development opportunities for students.
  • Create strategy and process to improve opportunities for interns to be retained into full-time positions.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives
Drive initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within the company's University Relations and organizational Recruiting Events.

  • Determine partnerships and funding across company to leverage resources.
  • Foster partnerships with organizations that support underrepresented groups in STEM fields and create opportunities for collaboration.

Metrics and Reporting
Report out on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of university and organizational efforts, such as the number of partnerships, quality of hires, and program outcomes.

  • Communicate reports and analysis to leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Track budget and overall spend, including ROI. Make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications

Skills and Experience - What you will bring to the table!

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience in event planning, strategic planning, team leadership, talent acquisition, University Relations and diversity recruiting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders concurrently.
  • Familiarity with current trends and challenges in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience building strong partnerships, preferably with academic institutions or external organizations.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze recruitment metrics and make data-backed decisions.
