Music Therapist

Job Summary:

This position is responsible in providing educational and therapeutic interventions that are constructive and beneficial to patients’ mental health and coincide with other treatment modalities.

Reports:

Music Therapy Coordinator

Supervises:

Music Therapy Interns

Required Education:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy, including coursework/internship in a medical setting.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Music Therapy, with coursework/internship in medical setting.

Required Experience:

• Preferred: One (1) year of professional experience in a medical setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Minimum: Board Certified Music Therapist. Preferred: Eligibility to become an AMTA Clinical Training Supervisor.
