SUMMARY
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Music & Movement Instructor at the ComEd Recreation Center. Under direct supervision, the Music & Movement Instructor develops class curriculums and provides instruction to participants ages 1 - 5 years old along with parent participation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Hours: This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Instructs scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate and effective lessons o Ability to prepare detailed lesson plans and activities for 30-minute class period
- Lead the instruction of dance participants, according to the approved lesson plan, in a fun environment while teaching specific dance techniques
- Maintain a positive, safe and nurturing environment
- Ensures that safety standards are met, and department and facility policies are adhered to o Provide positive and professional communication with customers
- Ensure the safety of all participants during classes and performances, and report any problems, unsafe conditions, behavior issues and accidents to the management
- Maintain Class log and attendance
- Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of one year teaching experience
- Experience working with students ages 1 - 5
- Minimum age of 18
- Early childhood experience not required, but preferred
- Ability to maintain a positive and SAFE environment for all students
- Be able to communicate with parents
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
