Munition Handler

Amentum is seeking a Munitions Handler to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Munitions Handler will perform duties involving the storage, receipt, shipment, inspection of explosive ordnance items or components. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
• Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work.
• Perform manual, technical, and mechanically assisted duties involved with the storage, receipt, shipment, inspection, of explosive ordnance items or components. Follow all pertinent local, state and federal compliance documents and procedures.
• Under Leader/Crafts direct supervision, perform warehousing duties involving stock movement into or out of storage facilities, physical inventory, warehouse arrangement, accessibility, inspect, load, package, move, or mark any ordnance items or components.
• Operate mobile equipment such as MHE, vehicles for transporting personnel, tools, equipment and ammunition components.
• Accurately record and report all Munition and Munition component accountability and discrepancies to the appropriate authority.
• Remove dunnage and maintain a clean, secure and safe work area to include but not limited to pulling weeds, emptying trash and cleaning restrooms in or around explosive operations buildings and/or magazines.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required training in accordance with Amentum's Master Training Plan.
• May operate computer based programs such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and AIT scanning tools.
• Must satisfactorily complete the Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working Ammunition Operations required by AMC Regulation 350-4 within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada drivers license unless physically unqualified to obtain such a license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• May perform other duties as assigned and may be reassigned to other depot locations as workload fluctuates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen.
• Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
• Must be willing and able to be trained to operate forklift/fork truck or material handling lifting devices.
• Must be willing and able to work in a procedural compliant environment.
• Must be willing and able to be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
• Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
• Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.
• Must be willing and able to work in an environmental and safety compliant environment.
• Must be willing and able to wear various levels of personal protective equipment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, drug testing, medical exam, and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by 29 CFR and Army Regulations: AR 190-11, AR 190-13 and DOD Contractors Safety Manual 4145.26.
