Job Title:Multimedia Designer
Job Summary: Bethune - Cookman University is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Remote Multimedia Designer with graphic and web expertise to join the CIT (Center for Information Technology) department! As a Remote -Multimedia Designer, you will play a crucial role in the execution of graphic and web design tasks, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality assets for the university.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Report to and collaborate with Director of Web and Digital Strategies within the CIT department on Web Services projects, contributing creative input and producing graphic and web design elements.
- Manage a Digital Signage system and assist with the creation and editing of the university’s webpages on a CMS (Content Management System).
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing graphic and web design projects, ensuring tasks, deliverables, and schedules are met.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of graphic and web design workflows.
- May work on converting digital media files into various formats for both print and digital materials, including video and photo formats.
- Maintain knowledge of fonts, style sheets, and color theory in both graphic and web design work.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver (HTML & CSS) to create visually appealing designs.
Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in graphic design and web design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other digital platforms.
- Basic experience with working within a CMS and a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Strong creative portfolio showcasing a good understanding of typography, grid-based design, white space, color theory and web design.
- Ability to work collaboratively on projects and contribute creative ideas.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Web Design, or a related major, or equivalent experience.
