The Salesforce Communications Producer/Editor plays a crucial role in driving audience engagement and brand awareness through the production of high-quality video content across multiple platforms.
This role will also provide strategic editorial oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and editorial standards, and optimizing content strategy - based on performance metrics - with a view to using video and multimedia to continuously improve content effectiveness and reach.


Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Producer/Editor to join our Global Communications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcast journalism or video production, with 5+ years of relevant experience. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in creating effective and compelling video content, supervising content production cycles and agency partners, providing editorial oversight on other video content, and implementing and overseeing metrics to measure success. The ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with stakeholders is essential. Additionally, the candidate should be able to identify ideal messaging for different platforms, whether print, video, or social media. Familiarity with technology industry, and common video production tools, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Content Production:

  • Ideate, produce, and disseminate high-quality video content across Salesforce Communications channels (website, social, email, paid channels) to drive audience engagement and brand awareness.
  • Build a machine that scales: Work across the Comms org and beyond to define a strategy for scalable video and multimedia production.
  • Work with multiple team members across the company to identify compelling stories (particularly around our products) aligned to company priorities, create and work to briefs, conduct interviews and other research, manage approvals, publish and measure impact.
  • Transform raw materials (pre-existing interviews, keynotes, etc) into strategic multi-platform content at speed and scale.
  • Help maintain relationships with external vendors to scale content production.
  • Define and complete workback plans to meet timelines.
  • Liaise with team members to create, acquire, and source production materials.
  • Potential to serve as on-camera talent, engage in videography and photography


Editorial Oversight:

  • Provide strategic editorial input on Multimedia Content, including graphic and video, ensuring quality and alignment with organizational goals and editorial standards.
  • Serve as an expert on video storytelling, advising and enabling team members to create impactful and digestible content.
  • Strong headline- and caption-writing skills — and understanding the tone and approach required across various platforms — are vital in this role.
  • Provide insights on how to land priority messaging through storytelling, including landing earned media coverage.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to optimize content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about emerging platforms and technologies to identify new opportunities for content distribution.
  • Collaborate with paid, social, and amplification teams to ensure cohesive content distribution.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in broadcast, digital journalism, video production, preferably in a multi-platform environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of video production process, from pre-production to post-production.
  • Strong strategic approach and ability to contribute meaningfully to assignments.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent deck development and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to top-tier executives.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and manage expectations with project stakeholders
  • Creative approach with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools to track and measure content performance.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with common video production and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, live streaming platforms, camera, and audio equipment.
  • Portfolio recommended.
  • BONUS: Familiarity with Salesforce products or the tech industry.
