THE ROLE:
The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute toward delivering new and existing features for AMD's FPGA, SoC, and ACAP products.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for system design, digital design, verification, and validation. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills, and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong debug, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You are willing to learn, take on new challenges, and ramp quickly on new technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with architects and hardware engineers to understand the new features and solutions
  • Build test plan documentation, accounting for interactions across features, between blocks, hardware, and software to enable end customer solutions
  • Estimate the time required to create an test new RTL blocks and designs along with associated test environments
  • Debug test failures to determine the root cause; work with hardware and verification engineers to resolve design defects and correct any test issues
  • Review feature and datapath coverage. Modify or add tests as needed to increase coverage or improve the solution

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficient in RTL design
  • Proficient in debugging RTL code and simulation tools
  • Experienced with Verilog, System Verilog
  • Familiarity with FPGA modern architectures, design tools, and debug tools
  • Automating workflows, regression infrastructure, and repository use
  • Exposure to simulation environments and performance considerations
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience in the UVM concepts and SystemVerilog language
  • Scripting language experience: TCL and shell preferred.
  • Exposure to leadership or mentorship is an asset

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
