The Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic quality routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience. Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures and maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements.
Education: Requires graduation from a Medical Lab Technician program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Experience: One (1) year of Medical Laboratory experience is preferred.
License/Certificates: Registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician, MLT (ASCP), or CLT (NCA) or equivalent is required.
