Job Summary
The virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) position is a client-facing role in our service delivery to our clients. The vCISO is considered an executive partner to Integris’ clients and works directly with Client's management team to understand their business needs and advises on technology governance, risk and compliance. vCISO’s duties include formulating strategic IT goals related to compliance, planning, analyzing and reworking business policies and processes to ensure that they are aligned with specific regulations applicable to client’s business. The vCISO also works closely with Integris' internal teams to make sure the client is aligned to business standards through Technology Business Reviews and infrastructure improvement projects focused on security. The vCISO is critical in helping clients mitigate risk and achieve compliance goals.
This position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relations with co-workers and clients, including the ability to work with and communicate with employees of all levels. Successful vCISO understands how technology can empower Integris’ clients in their day-to-day operations and is able to formulate the most appropriate roadmap for the business, while keeping operational efficiency in mind, as well as cost and overall fit. It requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organization and follow through is crucial to the success of this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide highly impactful and strategic consultative services to clients around governance, risk and
- Build and maintain positive, trusting, professional relationship with clients
- Regularly meet with all assigned clients to create, review and/or update governance strategy and budget
- Create and update IT policies and other documentation as needed
- Collaborate with other service delivery members, engineers and virtual Chief Information Officers (vCIOs), to ensure cohesive strategy for delivered compliance framework
- Understand client’s business and evaluate compliance needs to make their business better and more secure
- Understand Integris’ products and services and promote growth of Integris’s revenue product base as it fits within the client’s needs
- Monitor client agreements and ensure they are properly designed and implemented in alignment with the Integris’ best practices (agreement utilization and gross margins)
- Create exceptional experience to all clients and end-users by ensuring and verifying high quality and efficiency of support
- Understand and remediate consequences of work that has not been executed as expected
- Ensure no request was left unanswered and SLA for all requests tickets is met
- Ensure all work is documented and tracked real-time in ConnectWise
- Meet assigned metrics and KPIs
- Assist with other security related activities and initiatives as needed
Work closely with co-workers to ensure development, optimization and implementation of strong solutions:
- Research emerging technologies and recommend use
- Collaborate with co-workers to resolve any problems/situations that may arise
- Assist in the development of cost benefit analysis for different solutions
- Document all work completely and accurately, including solution recommendations and resulting process and procedure documentation in all appropriate Integris applications
- Communicate to both internal and external clients with the highest level of customer service, proactive status, and in a timely and accurate manner
- Recommend changes that are needed to method, process, hardware/software, applications, reporting, technologies and integrations to provide a better working environment for end-user
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure continued growth, development, and ability to assist with leading Integris and co-workers in the future with the development of technology and business trends:
- Keep current with emerging technologies and how they fit in with Integris and its clients
- Identify trends in the industry and assists in evaluating the impact of those trends on the organization

Job Qualifications
- Strong background in network security and IT compliance management, budgeting and strategic planning
- Proven track record in ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with clients and internal teams
- A high level of communication and organizational skills
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials or similar
- Degree in business or information systems or equivalent education/experience preferred.
- 3+ years working in information systems or project management or leadership role.
