THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS PLUS 15% PER DIEM SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL!

The Polyclinic, part of Optum, is seeking an MRI Tech to join their team on a Per Diem basis to work in an office setting in Seattle, WA!

LOCATION

The Polyclinic (will cover Madison Center, Broadway and Northgate Plaza)


The MRI Tech functions as an integral member of the team and is responsible for applying MRI protocols prescribed at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail for diagnostic purpose under the prescription of a physician in a manner consistent with the clinic's mission and values.


The MRI Tech is responsible for and not limited to:

  • Extensive knowledge of community standards related to MRI procedures.

  • Extensive Knowledge related to MRI safety.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers.

  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strictly follows all ACR, FDA, Medicare and DOH Washington State laws regarding MR imaging.

  • Ensures thoroughness and safety of examination while setting priority of clinical need.

  • Maintain examination schedule in the most productive manner.

  • Prepare patients and perform examinations requested by the referring physicians.

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the RIS, PACS and ordering system.

  • Assure that each new employee completes an orientation and that the employee performs the required duties of his/her job effectively and efficiently.

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of MRI procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

  • ARRT license required with MRI advanced registry, DOH Washington State License.

Experience:

  • Three to five years’ experience as a MRI registered technologist preferred.  

Equipment Competencies:

  • Must possess basic skills to use Microsoft Windows, navigate in a Windows environment, use web browser software and send/receive e-mail via Microsoft Outlook.

  •  Proficient in the use of EHR/RIS/PACS applications.

Special Training / Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Displays competence in dealing with the unique needs of patients, employees and clinicians.
