The MRI Technologist performs MRI scans to assist in the diagnoses of various diseases, ailments and injuries while providing excellent patient care.
For this position we are looking for a casual employee that is willing to provide coverage between 5 MRI sites; Vadnais Heights, Midway, Lakeville and Woodlake. This role will be based at the Eagan location with flexibility to float to all locations. Could include weekend and weekday/evening shifts. Casual status is a minimum of 2 shifts per month, subject to change.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Review MRI screening form to ensure MRI safety of patient and prepare them to safely have their exam.
  • Positions patients and perform exam as requested by physicians.
  • Perform MRI following established procedures and protocols for patient care, safety, and quality.
  • Review images to ensure image quality and communicate with CDI to ensure timely and accurate exam dictations.
  • Document and charge MRI exams appropriately.
  • Performs quality control checks to assure MRI equipment meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
  • Cleans and maintains MRI equipment, work area, and department to ensure infection control and cleanliness.
  • Facilitate good communication with co-workers and throughout the organization.
  • Maintains supplies and orders as necessary.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
