We invite you to come joinour Arizona Diagnostic Radiology team as a Steering Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. This PRN career opportunity will provide weekend coverage and some evening coverage, and will be located out our Mesa and/or Phoenix locations.The position will require working onsite.As a Steering MRI Technologist, you will perform high quality MRI exams on patients.
The Steering MRI Technologist is responsible for remotely operating up to 3 MRI magnets, with the help of a Technologist Aide and/or MRI Technologist. The Steering MRI Technologist will ensure that the Technologist Aide/MRI Technologist is adequately screening patient(s) in order to ensure each patient's safety in the MR environment before entering the magnetic field. The person in this position must communicate clearly and effectively with the Technologist Aide/MRI Technologist in order to screen patients, ask medical history questions, position patients and ensure that the correct exam is performed.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Must have current ARRT(MR) certification or ARMRIT certification.
- Training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter is preferred or you must be willing to obtain the venipuncture certification.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have BLS certification.
- Maintain license and continuing education in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agencies' rules and regulations.
- Ability to relate to the public in a professional and courteous manner, understanding the objectives of the organization, regardless of racial, ethnic, religion, sexual orientation, gender, mental/physical health, age, economic status, etc.
- Familiarity with and ability to use specialized ancillary equipment.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and appropriate fashion.
- The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by successful completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology and MRI program; completion of accredited ARMRIT program and appropriate registrations and/or certifications.
- Possesses and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communications skills, and other medical related skills/knowledge.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to interact effectively with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, staff and management.
Pay Range: $38.00 - $46.00 / hour
