Position Summary
The Small Animal MRI Core Facility is seeking an MRI Research Technologist who will be responsible for carrying out small animal imaging studies for various disease models (cancer, cardiovascular, neurological, etc.), drug discovery, and other research using pre-clinical MRI scanners. Primary job duties include animal handling, basic operation of scanners and other equipment (under the core director or senior staff guidance), and routine tasks for lab upkeep.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in a research/laboratory setting and operating MRI system.
  • Experience in animal (mouse and rat) surgery/procedures such as sedation, tail vein injection, intravenous injection, intraperitoneal injection, subcutaneous injection, blood vessel catheterization, sub mandibular blood collection, retro-orbital blood collection, euthanasia, trans-cardiac perfusion, tissue collection.
