Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead in a dynamic operations environment to support our Non-Destructive Testing and Material Review Board Departments. In this role you will be providing direction to employees while developing Team Leads, Technicians, and Inspectors through effective coaching, communication, and training. This position requires innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to develop timely action plans for resolution while driving the tactical execution of the quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the day-to-day quality and production deliverables and initiatives to include prioritization and completion of parts through the shop.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the response to rapid changes in production requirements through the use of daily toolbox meetings and effective communication plans.
  • Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the Standard Production System (SPS) including but not limited to: Tiered accountability, Visual management system(s), Leader Standard Work, Rapid identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Communicate requirements to peers at supporting processes to ensure smooth process flow. Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship.
  • Drive World-class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness.
  • Engage with Core MRB leadership as necessary to resolve issues impacting nonconformance dispositions. Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities are not limited to the listed items above and can be changed or modified based on skill level, proficiency, and overall performance. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of manufacturing/operations experience OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consistent track record in leadership roles. Solid understanding of conventional Quality related inspection, NDT, CMM, calibration and other machine shop inspection process and procedures.
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, and MRB.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO. Member of the PW Material Review Board.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
  • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification.
