Job Description for a Mowing Foreman

We are seeking an experienced and motivated mowing foreperson to lead our team of mowing technicians. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the daily operations of the mowing crew, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and on schedule. The mowing foreperson will also be responsible for managing and maintaining equipment, communicating with clients, and ensuring the safety of the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of mowing technicians to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and hours worked by crew members.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Train new crew members on safe and effective mowing techniques.
• Communicate with management to understand jobsite specific needs and preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or issues that arise.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and ensure that all crew members follow them as well.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a leadership role in lawn maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of mowing and lawn maintenance techniques.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of mowing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Certifications

• Ohio Commercial Pesticide License is desired within 1 year of accepting position.

Job Type: Full-time

Work site Locations: throughout Columbus, OH

Shop Location: Marysville, OH

Pay: $20-$24 per hour
