Moving & Storage Manager
ServiceMaster Emergency Management Team is an industry leader in Southern California and Nevada. We are looking for a high quality, team oriented individual to run our Contents Department.
Moving & Storage Manager
This position is responsible for managing the contents department in a restoration company. Content Managers must provide exceptional customer service, oversee structural and content cleaning jobs, as well as the pack out and transportation of customer contents, job cleanup and completion of detailed job records.
Moving & Storage Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a team of Restoration Contents Coordinators/Estimators
Provide guidance, training, and support to the coordinators/estimators.
Ensure effective coordination between insurance adjusters, policy holders, and sub-contractors.
Review and approve estimates prepared by the coordinators/estimators, ensuring compliance with insurance standards.
Monitor job documentation and file management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain and manage data in spreadsheets, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
Conduct regular field inspections to assess new losses and prepare comprehensive scopes of work.
Collaborate with the coordinators/estimators to resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the restoration process.
Monitor and manage timecards for contents technicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Continuously improve and optimize processes related to contents management and restoration coordination.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in insurance standards to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the contents management team.
Moving & Storage Manager Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of restoration process, contents management, and insurance standards
Leadership and team management skills
Communication skills both verbal and written
Proficiency in using Xactimate software
Attention to detail and problem solving abilities
Experience with moving and packing
Time management and organizational skills
A proactive mindset
