Move-In Coordinator Job Description
Purpose:
Play a key role in implementing programs associated with retention of depositors during the reservation, sales, and move-in process, and to assist the marketing department with administrative/clerical support. To communicate and engage directly with depositors and their families, as well as the team and/or contractors, responsible for referral of the new resident(s) and the delivery of their belongings.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
• 2 years’ experience working in senior living environment, and/or social activity leadership preferred.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and team members.
• Must enjoy working with seniors.
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials.
• Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials.
• Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.
• Must have basic proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks, in order to accommodate fluctuating needs of the residents and the community.
• Ability to represent the facility in a positive and professional manner.
• Valid state driver’s license, and good driving record.
• Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential functions) with or without accommodation.
• Subject to pre-employment screening including criminal background check, drug, and TB testing.
• Must be detail oriented, possess ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with strong
organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service with a desire to exceed customer
expectations.
• Is a collaborative, participatory supporter of common teamwork.
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle sensitive, personal information while maintaining confidentiality.
Essential Functions:
Marketing/Clerical
• Assists with marketing and clerical duties as requested, and provides back-up support for internal marketing such
as tours, answering phone, etc. at the direction of the Community Relations Director
• Assists in planning events that encourage the participation of families and prospective residents.
• Supports the Community Relations Director as a liaison between the community and churches, senior centers, and
other similar community organizations.
• Support occupancy goals through effective planning of move-ins, move-outs, and transfers.
• Assists incoming residents with all facets of transition and move to the community.
• Coordinates the refurbishing, cleaning, and inspection of suites prior to move-in with the Director of Engineering.
• Communicates incoming resident’s individual needs and requirements.
• Ensures all resident information has been entered into current resident management system.
• Supports marketing team by assisting with tours, telephone inquiries, hosting functions and events, along with
community outreach as directed by Community Relations Director(s).
• Coordinates with the Community Relations Director(s) to ensure all required paperwork has been completed prior to the residents’ move in.
• Strives to maintain a safe work environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment,
and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
Other
• Attends all required team member meetings and in-service training sessions.
• Upholds Residents’ Rights as defined by state regulations and by Company policy, at all times.
• Supports and upholds all other Company policies, and the service philosophy.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to work full-time as agreed upon, on assigned shift, including occasional evenings and some weekend and holiday rotations.
• Ability to travel locally if necessary, to participate in resident outings, purchase supplies and participate in networking activities.
Starting Salary Range: $19 - $21 an hour
