The Mountainside Police Department is accepting resumes for the position of Police Officer.
Candidates must:
- Have 60 college credits which can be waived by either two years of military service with an honorable discharge, or two years N.J. police service.
- Be N.J. Police Training Commission certified as B.C.P.O or currently enrolled in the Basic Course for Police Officers at an accredited N.J. Police Academy.
- Be able to read and write the English language proficiently and intelligently;
- Have a valid N.J. Driver’s License
- Meet the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 and N.J.S.A. 40A:14-127.1
Generous benefit package.
Top pay for patrol officers in 2024: $131,410
