Job description

Summary: The Mountain Activity Seller is responsible for handling sales, fulfillment, reservations and inquiries for all on-mountain activities and lift tickets in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
Essential Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
§ Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees.
§ Promptly facilitate all incoming calls and emails, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner relative to ski and snowboard school, canopy adventures, bike park, kids camps, lift tickets, travel, lodging, dining, entertainment, parking and/or other resort destination inquiries.
§ Ability to facilitate sales transactions via resort POS operating systems, whilst garnering effective knowledge of resort ecommerce platform(s) and any existing partnership digital platforms.
§ Troubleshoot resort POS operating systems including workstations, digital displays, receipt printers, ticket printers, pass printers, credit card key pads, telephones, cameras, and other misc. POS peripherals.
§ Develop skill sets to effectively utilize and manage customer database via resort POS operating systems.
§ Attend meetings/training as required by management.
§ Perform other duties as requested by management.
§ Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
§ Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
§ Adhere to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Preferred customer service experience. Ideal candidate will have POS operating systems experience, reservation/travel agency-like experience and concierge experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Publisher Design software; Reservation software; Exchange/Outlook Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be detailed oriented and very organized.
Must be able to juggle many responsibilities and tasks.
Must be able to work well in a team environment.
Must be able to work with tight deadlines.
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The wage for this position is $19/hr.
