Motorcycle Technician

Finger Lakes Harley-Davidson has an opening for a qualified, high performing Service Technician. Our dealership serves all of Ithaca, Elmira, Corning, Watkins Glen and the surrounding Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions of New York State. Our dealership is nestled in the rolling hills of Route 13 and is an easy commute from surrounding areas. We are looking for someone with Harley-Davidson motorcycle servicing experience, Master Level Technician's will be highly sought after and compensated. Candidate's must be well versed in Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. Candidate must be able to multi-task, have an eye for detail and a strong work ethic.

REQUIREMENTS for Harley-Davidson Service Technician:

• Valid driver's license w/ motorcycle endorsement
• Be able to pass a background/drug test
• Must have own tools
• General understanding of computer systems and computer skills
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds of material
• Ability to balance and push a 500+ pound motorcycle

Responsibilities and Duties for Harley-Davidson Service Technician:

• Proficiency on multiple lifts.
• Minimal call backs.
• Focus on quality and customer service.
• Organization and attention to detail in a high volume environment.
• Focus on quality service work.
• Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.
• Maintain clean efficient facilities.
• Dependable, organized and self-motivated.

Qualifications and Skills for Harley-Davidson Service Technician:

• MMI background (preferred but not necessary)
• H-D motorcycle servicing experience
• Must be able to treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
• High quality standards, assuring service jobs are done right the first time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $36.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mechanical: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Motorcycle Safety Inspectors License (Preferred)
