Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties such as driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations and loading and unloading of passengers. I can complete vehicle utilization records and driver's accident report when necessary. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- Physical Effort: Light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Moderate physical effort is required in the frequent handling of objects weighing over 50 pounds and over while loading and unloading cargo. More physical effort is required to turn the larger and heavier vehicles and to operate the additional controls.
- Working Conditions: The operator is required to work outside and is occasionally exposed to all weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicle. Drives in all types of traffic and weather and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. The operator is subject to cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or when loading and unloading vehicles.
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class B with P endorsement.
