COMPENSATION RANGE: $55,000-$70,000
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a talented Motion Graphics Designer to join Backcountry! The ideal candidate will have experience in creating visually appealing and dynamic animations, videos, and graphics that enhance our online marketing and advertising campaigns. As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to develop engaging and compelling multimedia content that aligns with our brand identity and messaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop creative concepts and execute Motion Graphics designs for our ecommerce website, social media platforms, and online advertising campaigns
• Create visually appealing animations and videos that enhance our online shopping experience and product displays
• Edit videos and produce launch assets using industry-standard software and tools, including color grading, audio mixing, and motion design
• Collaborate with the Content Director, Marketing and Creative teams to plan and execute video projects that align with our brand and marketing strategies
• Capture high-quality footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment
• Ensure that all videos are uploaded to corresponding channels, with launch assets, and are optimized for online distribution
• Manage and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
• Ensure on set hygiene and equipment functionality
• Manage data on set and ensure assets are properly backed up to in-house storage solutions
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in Motion Graphics and design to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to enhance our multimedia content

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in Motion Graphics design, with a strong portfolio of work showcasing your abilities (please include a portfolio in application)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Motion Graphics design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of our target market is a plus
