We are seeking an experienced Mortuary Transport Driver who is compassionate, reliable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism. As a Mortuary Transport Driver, you will be responsible for transporting deceased individuals with care and dignity while ensuring timely and safe delivery to various locations. This role requires individuals who are comfortable with heavy lifting, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and can maintain composure in challenging circumstances.
Responsibilities:
- Transport deceased individuals from various locations such as hospitals, homes, and nursing facilities to the mortuary or other designated destinations.
- Handle deceased individuals with the utmost respect, dignity, and professionalism.
- Safely load and unload deceased individuals, caskets, and other equipment as needed, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle at all times.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with grieving families, hospital staff, and other professionals encountered during transport assignments.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to each transport assignment.
Requirements:
- Must reside in the Brevard county area.
- Good driving record with no traffic violations within the past year.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact compassionately with grieving families and colleagues.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Professional demeanor and attire (e.g., dress shirt, slacks) required at all times.
- No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
- Face-to-face interviews will be conducted for hiring purposes.
